What did you get for pre-ordering CONTROL Resonant, and what can you still claim? A pre-order granted the Hiss Corruption Outfit and Pickpocket’s Tool Artifact everywhere, plus the Occult Outfit on PlayStation. The game is now out (since September 24, 2026), so this page separates what was pre-order-only from what is still claimable, such as the newsletter extras. Whether launch-day purchases still bundle the pre-order items has not been confirmed; check your store page’s offer details before buying.
The pre-order bonuses
Remedy confirmed that pre-ordering the Standard or Digital Deluxe Edition granted three items — two on every platform and one PlayStation exclusive:
- Hiss Corruption Outfit (all platforms), a cosmetic for Dylan
- Pickpocket’s Tool Artifact (all platforms), an in-game artifact
- Occult Outfit (PlayStation pre-orders only)
These are separate from edition-specific perks like the Deluxe’s artbook or early access. The SteelBook Edition did not list the standard pre-order bonuses in its contents breakdown, so buyers had to confirm with their retailer.
Epic Games Store extra: a Fortnite outfit
Buying CONTROL Resonant on the Epic Games Store includes a bonus tied to a different Remedy game. Epic offers the Dylan Faden Outfit in Fortnite as a gift with purchase on that storefront. This is a storefront-specific extra, not part of the standard pre-order bundle, and it requires purchasing through Epic.
Free items from the Remedy newsletter
You don’t have to spend anything to claim two extras. Signing up for Remedy’s Control newsletter grants two exclusive in-game items:
- Communications Department Headset
- Optical Filtering Goggles
These are confirmed on the official CONTROL Resonant site, where signing up is the prompt, and remained the free-to-claim route after the September 24 launch. They are separate from any paid edition, so they count as free-to-claim extras on top of whatever edition you buy.

What else to know before buying
Edition-specific content and regional timings are separate from pre-order bonuses. For example, the PlayStation 5 Digital Deluxe Edition included 48 hours of early access (beginning September 22, 2026) that PC and Xbox did not get, and physical editions arrive later for PS5 and Xbox. For the full edition comparison, prices, and platform differences, see the editions compared page on this wiki.
